About National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN)
National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) which was established on March 23rd, 2009 commenced full operation in September 2009. The primary purpose for its establishment is to provide training for power sector personnel and coordinate training activities in the sector. In pursuit of this mandate, NAPTIN has taken over the management of existing seven regional training centres of PHCN. The Federal Government of Nigeria embarked on the robust reform of the electric power industry as a key strategic driver towards achieving the goal of becoming one of the top twenty economies in the world by the year 2020 (Vision 20:2020).
The Reform, driven by the Electric Power Sector Reform (EPSR) Act of 2005, provided the platform for deregulating the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry from the control, ownership and regulation of the sector by the Federal government to private sector-driven industry. The reform basically focused on accomplishing Power stability, reliability & sustainability and human capacity development, amongst others.
NAPTIN Recruitment Requirements.
- A Bachelor or a Master’s Degree in another relevant discipline in the quantitative field or Higher national diploma in relevant discipline in the quantitative field.
- Applicants must be below 30 years.
- Applicants must be a Computer literacy and conversant with Microsoft office.
