The Federal Fire Service just like other ranks in the Nigerian Police, Navy, Army, Airforce, Customs, and FRSC have an organized chain of command. But before we talk about the salary structure, let’s look at the duties of the Federal Fire Service.

Mission of Federal Fire Service

To ensure the safety of lives and property by extinguishing, control and prevention of fire outbreak through Regulation, Training, Enforcement, Public Enlightenment Programmes and impact reduction during emergencies through adequate preparedness.

Federal Fire Service Salary Structure

The Federal Fire Service salary structure is solely based on the level of your ranking.

Federal Fire Service Graduates are placed on Grade Level 8 Step 1 (Assistant Superintendent Cadre) and earn about N888,956 per annum.

Those on Grade Level 8 Step 2 earn about N900,071 per annum.

Federal Fire Service HND holders are placed on Grade Level 7 Step 1 (Inspectorate Cadre)  and earn about  N483,353 per month (before deductions).

Note: Graduates from the University are placed in level 8 (Assistant Superintendent of Fire II)

HND holders are placed on level 7 (Senior Inspector of Fire).
